...When somebody asks me about my direction on the process of the creation I just say... Much of my work is about space, about movement from depth to surface. I feel that my paintings are an evolution in thought with the climax being the actualization of a specific idea. My works experiment with the partition of the space, geometry and color, where different levels of texture and transparent layers of color create clean minimalist abstract paintings. I think if you look at my paintings you my recognize any image as an object of nature, or even a landscape. The earth is ever present in my mind and in the techniques I used in transforming the image into abstract paintings. When I am painting I prefer on wood using plaster and pigments to create the texture, and different acrylic layers are fused one on top of the other. I take pleasure in each step of creating a painting, from making my own panel to each layer of paint and varnish. I carefully consider every element of the piece. My work has allowed me to explore the variety of patterns created by nature in the micro and macrocosm using attraction and opposition, tension and release.
